Volunteer for Peaceable Kingdom

Volunteer photoUse your special abilities to help animals in need! Peaceable Kingdom is staffed entirely by volunteers, and there can never be too many. Obviously, we need some volunteers with animal care expertise, but we also need people with skills in every area from computer technology to cookie baking. Work at our clinic in Whitehall, our adoption locations, or out of your home. Join us daily, weekly, monthly or now and then for special events; it's your choice. The only requirements are a love of animals and a desire to help. For more information, call 610-432-2532 or send e-mail to pklvshelter@yahoo.com.

Seniors: Some clinic activities do not involve physical work. Many activities can be done out of home. Handcrafted items and baked goods are needed frequently for fundraisers and special events. People who can sew are needed to make animal beds and cage liners from donated materials.

Scouts, students and service groups: Fulfill merit badge and community service requirements by fundraising or helping at our facility. Call 610-432-2532 or e-mail pklvshelter@yahoo.com to make arrangements for group activities.

Business owners: Employee time, mileage, supplies and other expenses are tax deductible. Assistance from veterinary, grooming and facility maintenance services is especially appreciated.

Families: Older children and teens are welcome at the clinic. Arrangements must be made in advance to have experienced volunteers on hand to supervise. Children age 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent or other adult (such as a teacher or scout leader) for at least two visits. Teens age 15-18 may participate without parental supervision but must have a parent sign a volunteer consent form. Children of any age may assist parents or teachers at special events and fundraising activities.
